SF Trip

Privacy

Updated November 3, 2026.

SF Trip is a private trip planner run by Pavit Gogia. Contact pavit@gogia.ie about your data.

What we store

Google sign-in provides your email, name and profile photo. The app checks your email against the trip invite list. Plans, notes, flight details, booking references and who added each entry are stored in Cloudflare’s database and shared with the invited group.

Staying signed in

A secure cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Signing out clears that cookie. Your theme choice is saved in your browser. Signing out does not delete shared plans.

Google Calendar

Sync is optional. With your consent, SF Trip creates a separate Google calendar and copies the trip plans and flights into it. It stores an encrypted refresh token to keep those copies up to date. The app requests access to calendars it creates, not your other calendars. Switching sync off removes the tagged trip copies, then discards the stored token after cleanup succeeds. You can also revoke access in your Google Account settings.

Maps and flight data

Location text is sent to Photon to find map coordinates. Embedded maps load from OpenStreetMap. Google Maps opens only when you follow its link. FlightAware receives flight numbers, routes and dates to provide flight status and aircraft positions. Providers receive the network details needed to serve requests. Names and booking references are not sent to FlightAware.

Use and retention

Data is used to run the trip planner. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use Google user data to train AI models. Our use of Google API data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Trip records stay stored until deleted by Pavit or the service is removed. Contact Pavit to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data. Copies already synced to Google Calendar remain there until sync cleanup removes them or you delete them in Google Calendar. Each provider handles its own service logs under its own privacy policy.
